UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. SECOND LEG. AS IT HAPPENED.

The greatest competition in the history of European football returned and delivered yet again as we had some incredible matchups in the second leg of the games.

REAL MADRID VS CHELSEA FC

Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid, Spain.

With a two-goal cushion, everyone expected Real to cruise into the semis but a spirited Chelsea managed to draw the line with a 3-3 on aggregate through Mount, Rudiger, and Werner. However, a sublime assist from Luka Modric found Rodrygo who managed to push the game into ET, and then Karim "the dream" Benzema hit it home with a superb finish touch to make it 5-4 on aggregate in favor of the Los Blancos.

BAYERN MUNICH VS VILLARREAL CF

Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany.

A major upset as the Bavarians were knocked out in an admirable fashion by the yellow submarine. A goal by Robert Lewandowski was canceled out in the 88th minute by Samuel Chukweze as an ecstatic Villarreal side made it to the semi-finals for the first time since Riquelme led the side in 2006.

ATLETICO DE MADRID VS MANCHESTER CITY

Wanda Metropolitano, Madrid, Spain.

In an ugly game where Cholo's men constantly taunted Pep's side, Manchester City stood firm to hold on to their one-goal lead against Los Rojiblancos to advance to the semis yet again as Pep's dream of lifting a UCL with this ManCity side now inches closer. The highlight of the game - Felipe's Red Card and the drama that followed. Fiesta for my eyes.

LIVERPOOL FC VS SL BENFICA

Anfield, Liverpool, England.

A complete goal-fest as the Reds piled another three goals onto their previous three as they ousted Benfica by a 6-4 aggregate and now face the tough Villareal in the semi-finals as Klopp's quest for the quadruple is very much alive.

AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR

As the spots for the finals are now at stake, here are upcoming matchups:

REAL MADRID VS MANCHESTER CITY

LIVERPOOL VS VILLARREAL CF

it is going to be a treat. Stay tuned for more!
