Youngsters who could secure a move after Qatar 2022

The FIFA WORLD CUP has been center stage for the world of football and has had an impressive display throughout. Many eyes were fixated on the youngsters who put up a show in this tournament. We take a look at the top young players who could secure big-money moves in the next transfer window.

Cody Gakpo (Netherlands)

Undoubtedly the breakout star of the tournament. Gakpo had a brilliant campaign with the Dutch Lions having scored in all three group stage games and displaying some quality runs between opposition defenses.
Manchester United and Arsenal are two teams that are touted to be his next destination. PSV have shown interest in cashing in their starboy but it will be interesting to see where young Cody ends up at.

Ritsu Doan (Japan)

The dream run of the Japanese to the Round of 16 was courtesy of Ritsu Doan's crucial equalizers against the powerhouses Germany and Spain. The 24-year-old could potentially leave Freiburg as soon as the next transfer window after joining last summer and has garnered interest from clubs like Manchester City and AS Roma.

Azzedine Ounahi (Morocco)

The Angers midfielder was labeled as "absolutely incredible" by Jose Mourinho after Morocco's emphatic win over Portugal. Even Luis Enrique had praise for the Moroccan after their last 16 clash. Currently, in Ligue 1, he could end his turbulent season with bottom-table Angers as soon as the January transfer window with Leicester City showing interest.

Dominik Livakovic (Croatia)

Truly the savior of the tournament for Croatia, Livakovic stepped up for his country when needed the most against the penalty shootout against Japan and Brazil. The Dinamo Zagreb shot-stopper will have a host of suitors from all over Europe for his signature come to the next transfer window.

Mohammed Kudus (Ghana)

The attacking midfielder shone for Ghana in the World Cup with his dazzling speed and dribbling. He has already piqued interest from Premier League clubs like Everton had tried to sign him in the summer transfer window.

Jude Bellingham (England)

Like a fresh summer wind, Jude Bellingham has shown that he is the future of English football. His bestial form has had Jurgen Klopp waiting in the shadow to sign the Borussia Dortmund star. Ever present for England, BVB will not let him go for cheap that's for sure.

Joao Felix (Portugal)

When Atleti paid 126 million Euros for Felix three years ago, he was touted to become the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Felix has had a dismal spell at the Rojiblancos and has now fallen out of favor with Diego Simeone.

However, the 23-year-old can take a few positives from Qatar 2022 after bagging a goal and two assists with Portugal. A versatile player like him could still secure a move away to revive his career.

Harry Souttar (Australia)

He's 24 and plays for Stoke City in the Championship and as it stands it doesn't look good for Souttar and his club. However, Harry answered his country's call in the world cup as his strong defending and ball control helped the Socceroos advance to the Round of 16 edging out Eriksen's Denmark in the process.

Josoko Gvardiol (Croatia)

The Croatian was been the best defender of the tournament (that is until he crossed paths with  Lionel Messi...) but don't let that incident cloud his image in your head. The 20-year-old has been a wall in the Croatian backline alongside Dejan Lovren and has been a key figure in Croatia's run till the Semi-finals. The RB Leipzig man shone in his game against the Atlas Lions becoming the youngest goalscorer and bagging the bronze in the process. Expect a bidding war between the top teams for this versatile and powerful defender.

Goncalo Ramos (Portugal)

The Portuguese made headlines in the RO16 clash against Switzerland after coach Fernando Santos started the 21-year-old up front against the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo. The Benfica striker delivered with a hat-trick and an assist in the same game as A Selecao bested the Swiss 6-1.

Enzo Fernandes (Argentina)

Lionel Messi has called Enzo a spectacular talent and he has lived up to the expectations set on him. The Benfica talent has been amazing this entire tournament delivering clutch performances and helping La Albiceleste get the third star. It will be interesting to see which club agrees to shell out for the Young player of the tournament.
